THERE WILL BE TIME

There will be time
To swim with crocodiles in the river
And dance with lions in the jungle
In search for the truth
Invested in the devil's central bank
There will be time

There will be time
To eradicate weeds of hate and racism
Sowed by the apartheid machines
And watered with the blood of the innocence
There will be time

There will be time
To sing in unison
Songs of hope and prosperity
And dance to the new tune of dispensation
There will be time

There will be time
To heal the wounds
Infiltrated during the dark years of terror
There will be time

There will be time
To proclaim victory over famine and hunger
The nation cannot scavenge in perpetuity
Buttered bread is a manna from Heaven
There will be time

There will be time
To quench the thirst for blood
And let the dove of peace reign
There will be time

There will be time
To bury the hatches
And learn from the past
There will be time

There will be time
To oil our bleeding scars
Knifed and butchered alive
To silence our resilience against slavery
And heal the nation
There will be time

There will be time
To harvest from the garden of our struggle
Sweet fruits of freedom
Where not only the chosen few can enjoy
But all citizens of planet earth
There will be time

There will be time
To drag the devil to church
And expose him to the truth
Love cannot remain a stranger
There will be time
Yes, there will be time
