The Poetry in You
When I think of you
I think of my love for poetry
I don't know why, but I just do
When you reach out to me, you touch my soul
To me, you are poetry in motion
From your beautiful brown eyes
To the way that your eye lashes curl so deep or
The way that you slightly tilt your head when you speak
Just to see you walking by takes my breath away
Just like most poetry that I have read
The way that you carry yourself says so much about you
Yet at times, you are hard to figure out
Poetry can be revealing, sweet but a bit harsh at times and
So can you
To make a long story short
Poetry brightens up my life
Makes me happy, brings me joy and
So do you.
