MY GIRL

To Ronda:

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day. When it's cold outside, I've got the month
of May
. Well, I guess you say what can make me feel this way……

My girl is 5 feet 7 inches of loveliness. I adore the way she smiles at me; that little
girl smile that says, "baby, stop it, you're making me blush."

My girl has brown eyes. The kind that seem to change colors with her disposition
- hazel when happy; charcoal when intense and serious. I watch in awe as they
softly close stopping my heart until they slowly open again like rose petals
reacting to the morning sun light.

My girl's face is framed with curly auburn hair; an Ethiopian princess'
cheekbones; a Nigerian queen's stately chin. Her neck is long and strong like a
fully grown ebony tree and compliments her beautiful mulatto coloring that is
the envy of the insecure and uniformed…..it must be so tiring answering the
question, "Soooo, what's your background?" I can answer that - she's a black
woman…..from the soul of her beautiful pedicured feet to the tip of her regal
head. Would I be with other than…..??

My girl is sexy. Not that kind of sexy that requires pierced tongues; low cut tops;
exposed bellies; and short tight skirts. No, it's a mature sexy that's been earned
by raising a child; learning to forgive; supporting her friends; being there for her
man; understanding the importance of patience. Now, don't get me wrong, the
woman is FINE!

My girl is gentle…..like the spring rain that nourishes Nature and provides a
warm blanket of dew that covers the wounds of everyone she touches.
