Black man

Black man
yet labeled and captivated
with no place
to hide

Black man
dignified yet classified
by the enemy
who's afraid
of the power
you possess
creating road blocks
to limit
your success
breaking the
of your happiness

Black Man
tears may fall
yet you're still
a man
mind in motion
brand new plan
the enemy still
contradicting ways
to deliver it
from your hand

but you still live
remaining strong
your name has power
that stretch miles long
for you are
needed here
my true Black Man!
