The Little Things

(for Ray)

The way you look at me from across the room
The way you hold my hand and wrap me in your arms
The way you say my name and call me baby
The way you make me feel secure and safe from harm
The way you wear your cologne and love letting the world see
The way you compliment me and make me feel like a woman
The way you stand tall with me and let everyone know that we are meant to be
The way you make love to me and touch me so gently
The way you kiss me so passionately and share your life's joys with me
The way you remind me of my dreams and to never let them go
It's the little things baby that I'll never forget
I will spend the rest of my life remembering the little things
The weekend we first met.
