Mr. Africa Poetry Lounge!

why are you reading this?

why are you reading this?
lurking through the atmosphere
trying to get a glimpse of me naked
my sweet warm truth exposed
to the stiff probing light of your "judgment"
hating my soul while lusting my flesh
my issue of blood

I am the Honesty that your hypocrisy
will never let you be

and you--you are no one to discern my "sin"
nor to banish me from the Tree of Light
even in my nakedness
with my passion dripping from my lips
YEAH...I am REAL as REAL as it gets
& you devil...(yeah DEVIL) you're the liar
the one w/ the curse

I am the Honesty that your hypocrisy
will never let you be

so what are you looking at?
peeling back your eyes to expose me
thus revealing your unsheathed soul
sitting there all engourged with
guilty secrets, rotten seed & murderous obsessions
trying to get a glimpse of me naked
a taste of GOOD fruit

I am the Honesty that your hypocrisy
will never let you be

touching yourself & seeing my selflessness
just longing to watch & see me die
WHY?
is it cause you ain't got no life?
cause looking at--"READING" yourself
that's the sight too hard to bear--bare
the-cold-rock-HARD-Truth!

I am the Honesty that your hypocrisy
will never let you be

NO?
then why are you reading this?
waiting w/ your hairy hand in your empty pants
to stab me & tell me & the world what
the hell you think of me?
I ain't reading you, you best believe

I am the Honesty that your hypocrisy
will never let you be

so why are you reading THIS?
