I HAD A LOVE

I had a love I wanted everyone to know
Sweet kisses a free spirit
Gentle bum squeezes I would get from love
After work before work

I had a love I liked seeing smile
He called me his Nubian queen
Tender he was, so I thought

Tongue lashing my love would give
No more hugs received, no I love you
Inadequate love would make me feel
I felt like a prisoner,
Like a child locked in a dark room all alone

Warm was what I used to feel when love was around
And now, it's so cold
I got to get up, I got to breathe
This dark room is suffocating me, break that door I should
Hoo-hah, as I inhale and exhale I left love behind..
