Mean What

Mean what you say, say what you mean
Sweep your own stairs keep your house clean
And dream, what you mean
Think it all through, consider who
You might be, important too
Then do
What's important to you
But you've got to
Mean what you say, say what you mean
Sweep your own stairs keep your house clean
And dream, what you mean
Can you stand things the way you imagine them
Will they be good for those who get caught up in them
Is this a solution or a bigger problem
Will you be a victor or maybe a victim, mean
What you mean and say what you've been meaning to say
Make sure you clean the cobwebs from your hallway
Polish your parlor this may be your day
Mean what you say, say what you mean
Sweep your own stairs keep your house clean
And dream, what you mean
Think it all through, consider who
You might be, important too
Then do
What's important to you
You know a clean kitchen will invite a good appetite
If the dishes are dirty you won't want to take a bite
Clean glasses and windows make for a lovely sight
If you want respect you must first put things right
Sleep is more restful in a freshly made bed
Sex is successful when values are shared
Without commitment you're better off dead
Sometimes the damages can't be repaired
Mean what you've been meaning to say
Say what you meant to mean
Don't give in to the inferior thing
Call on your conscience then cling
To your dream
Mean what
What do you mean
What are you sowing
What are you reaping
Life it's a test and you'll come out best
If you mean what you say and say what you mean
