Soul Food
A few pennies is all the money I've got
Will you please sing me a jingle
For a pennie's worth give it your best shot
Make my ears tingle
Sing me a song full of hope
To feed my hungry body
And as I continue up this slope
I'll hum your melody
A pot of beans would be fine
But a heart filled with hope shines
So sing me a cheery song
And on my merry way I'll be along.
