The Real Me Deep Within

Don't stop,
Because you see the color of my skin.
Get to know the real me deep within.
I'm still placed beneath others
Simply because of my skins color.
Discrimination still lives today
Even though I have the same skills,
And accomplishments on my resume.
I've worked hard
To get where I am now,
But have so much farther to go
To get past the next mile.
Don't stop,
Because you see the color of my skin.
Get to know the real me deep within.
