Heavy Can't Wait

Take me by the ankles
Turn me upside down
Shake my body vigorously
Until all my faults come out

I'm reaching for the higher goal
The one beyond the sky
Got to rid myself of all my defects
To be clean in the master's eyes

Once I lose the shackles that bond me
I'll be out of the starting blocks
Heading in the right direction
When the high tide hits the rocks

Got a son to see when I get there
Going to visit my mother too
Dr. Martin Luther King is in the residence there
Without him we would all be through

So hand me my dark blue tie
While I brighten my teeth and eyes
I'm on my way to the twinkling star
Too see the view from the other side
