Look deep in my eyes, and I'll reveal my soul
Scared, confused, full of secrets untold
A whole lifetime story ready to unfold
Afraid to open my heart and let you find
What has my feelings so bound and tied
Afraid to let you know the real me
A timid past so dismal and bleak
So scared from a heart that will not heal
I just want to be numb, unable to feel
My cries for help fallen on deaf ears
I drown myself inside of my fears
I want you to save me
Please don't cease to try
Surrounded by misery
What a cruel way to die!
