Is this the breeding ground for bitterness?

Is this the breeding ground for bitterness?
My loss is so great-I cannot bear it.
Is this the time for toughening unrest?

My daughter is my hope and my true best.
I birthed her from my blood, fed her my teat.
Is this the breeding ground for bitterness?

Is my sorrow different from the rest?
Preachers say we are born tween piss and shit.
Is this the time for toughening unrest?

When joy lingered in me it was a guest.
The hyena stole it from me by teeth and wit.
Is this the breeding ground for bitterness?

Those girls who gave up virtue were no less.
My daughter too stubborn to take life's bit.
Is this the time for toughening unrest?
