My Beautiful Black Berry

Although it seemed natural to me
Like cocoa butter from a cacao tree

I was
Reluctant, hesitate, unsure
Before I had a black berry filled with sweet juice
Although your presence I could not withstand
It seemed impossible to let you out of my hand

I was
Wanting, craving, desiring
But now you are my black berry filled with sweet juice
Although all good things must come to an extremity
I will never lose the taste of you in its entirety

I was
Fulfilled, satisfied, pleased
Because nothing compares to a black berry filled with sweet juice
