2 dollars for Gas

I am not the same person I was yesterday
And today I will not be the same person tomorrow

All I know is that I got 2 dollars for gas
To get me to work, and that is that

Nothing is guarantee … so many broken promises
They raise the taxes, and then tax the city snacks
They increase the car insurance, and then add a gas tax

Go window-shopping at the dollar store
Even that is more then I can afford
It is heart breaking… my check is spend
And I haven't even cash it yet.

You got to be a mathematical wizard
Just to earn a decent living
For food, clothes, a warm home
I'm not really asking for more

Yet the one who have those simple things
Think it's a game
They do not see the real people
They only see the margin figures.

I just want to move to another world
Where moral value is the mother pearl
To live a plain and simple life
That's not filled with the slick trick vice

I see they are playing a chess game
As they try to take my King
I see how the pieces are prestigiously place
I will not make my next move in haste

I do not like thinking on there level
But that is what is needed to out wit the devil

As I laugh I become relax

All I know is that I got 2 dollars for gas
To get me to work, and that is that

I was not like this yesterday
Today I observe the effect from yesterday
Tomorrow I will not be like I am today
