Langston Blues

Your lips were so laughing
Langston man
your lips were so singing
minstrel man
how death could touch them
hard to understand

Your lips that laughed
and sang so well
your lips that brought
laughter from hell
are silent now
no more to tell

So let us sing
a Langston Blues
sing a lost
Langston blues
long gone song
for Langston Hughes
