EXCUSES

What's that I hear
Another excuse?
The sun is in my eyes
My shoe got untied
It' too hot
It's cold
I'm too young
I'm too old
In this land of competition
An excuse has no use

Either you will or you won't
You do or you don't
Just don't make another excuse
It's not a good look
You make so many
I could make them into a book
In this land of flaws that might
Land you in the jaws of incarnation or worse
An excuse has zero use

Unless you heed these words
You'll be just another Black face
With priceless talent gone to waste
Always given reasons why you can't
While there is reward to the plight
For those whom express with the truth
An excuse has absolutely no juice!
