Who are You?

As I look in the mirror I no longer recognize who I see
The image is now a reflection of the pain I've felt, the lies
I've been told and the fear of things I don't know
He said I wasn't beautiful, so I no longer saw my beauty
He said I wasn't good enough and I no longer saw my worth
What's the point of living if all I do is cry?
Sometimes I think death is the only way out
When will he realize that his words cut through me like daggers hitting a target
When will he see that I try my best to be what he wants me to be
As I look in the mirror I no longer recognize who I see
