PAIN

I've learned to make the pain work for me
It's become as essential to my life
as the air I need to breathe
Constantly pushing me towards my goal
I owe who I am to the presence of pain
The long nights of crying
The days of hoping
The years of dreaming for something better to come
when I had it all along
I am who I am because I felt the pain
I know what it feels like
to have your heart stepped on by the one you thought was the TRUTH
I am who I am because I've lived the pain
I know what it feels like to live outside yourself cause you don't
realize that you are disconnected from yourself
To act without thought and regret actions later
I am who I am because I've learned to make the pain work for me
