Wind among Leaves

You are the boom of a mighty ocean,
Foaming waves dashing hard
Against blackened rocks.

You are the lonely cry of a sea-gull
Afar at sea
Winging its uncertain way
Across the green expanse.

You are the hue and cry of a busy thoroughfare-
The hustle and bustle of prosperity regained.

You are the timid whimper of a little fawn,
Or the cry of a new-born babe.

You are my heart-beat
O rush of wind among leaves!
