Love
Excited the moment I see you
Fearful that you'll stay
And sway my feelings
From happy to sad
Glad to see you
But I step back
And re-track all the pain you once caused
I pause and see your face
My grace will allow us to be
I see the day clear
But I fear the smoke
The bad joke of something so secure
And the door that hits me in the face
And takes me back to a place
Of loneliness and neglect
I respect who you are
But I'm far from
Trusting you!
