The Dream Crusher

In this life it seems,
that reality crushes us before we have the
chance to dream.
and the inevitable crushes the intellectual,

and words have no meaning unless the meaning is credible
Allow me to expound on this profound proclamation.
It takes a village to raise a child but
enlightenment to save a nation.

How do we know which way is left and which way is right,
in a world where we seek the light but live in the night.
Too many times we defend what's wrong,
and expect what's right.

I'll try as hard as I can to dream with all
the strength I can muster, but false is how
they seem, sometimes the truth is a dream crusher.
