You Are My Rose

You're my rose because of your simple beauty,
To love you I feel it is my duty.

When I water you I shower you with tender care,
No need to worry, cause I am always there.

Your sunlight comes from above every time I pray,
God shines on you, blessing you with another day.

Your surroundings are perfect for you to grow,
Giving quality time, not treatment like a hoe.

I know your roots are deep in the cold ground,
I feel your hurt when you are down.

Weeds are cut around you; they are not your friend,
They are haters, wanting to see you fall in the end.

A rose is a symbol of love between two lovers,
But my rose is elegant, better than the others.
