Freedom from rain

Chains
Tears like metal braids
Hold fingers hostage
In the rain
Stolen feet
Are sunk in sand
Caged up thoughts
Enrage old plans
We were brilliant
Upon a time
The shiny side
Of a glistening dime
The lick of alcohol
And weed in sky
The Ice queen promised
To a tarnished frog
His heavy burden
His friend his lord,
And when I worshipped
All his bones,
His spirit
Quickly turned to stone
I loved his lies
Like salt on shoulders
I loved his pain,
His health his boulder
And when the rain
Whipped free
The paint,
A castle was a village
Quaint.
I prayed for freedom far from you,
But now your gone what does
One do….
