SCHIZOPHRENIC FRIIEND

We were mad,
Crazy you and I
We could eat whole sky's
Like green apple pie
Fixing our broken
Coveting wounds
Did you hear the sound
Of life's marching band
Are you ready to fight
Struggle unarmed
Tear out your demons
Rip them like cords
From a mind cemented
Both whole
And demented
Picking at nuggets
Cursed in the rain
This is the strain
Of pain on Friendship.
Spirits dance
Mystic and worlds
Voices like trumpets
To humans unheard
Boom through the radio
Travel through crowds
Tears fall like apples
Air is as nouns
Is it?
Another visit?
An alien in bloom
A dark open room
Of questions
And quiet
And biting my heart
Hidden by shades
When the madness
It starts,
White suits might take you
Others mistake you
For what could be
The spoon in the drawer,
You've heard these queries
Millions before
Thus
You and your us
You cannot pretend
A telling end

For a schizophrenic
friend.
