she was a brave black woman
who did what she had to do
because if anything went wrong
she knew that she could count on you
even though the white men
thought what she did was wrong
she had to keep her head up high
and continue to stay strong
she was recently laid to rest
knowing that she succeeded
in fighting for what was best
she is a woman
that everyone should cherish in their hearts
