When I close my eyes

When I close my eyes all I see is you
The image is so clear and vivid it seems touchable
But you're not really here

When I close my eyes I can smell your scent
The aroma is strong and seductive a river begins to flow
But you're not really here

When I close my eyes I feel your presence
The warmth of your body stimulates my spirit and soul
But you're not really here

I've tried to erase these images but they won't go away
Sleepless nights I lay thinking only of you
I keep hoping and praying when I open my eyes
To touch the man who has consumed the thoughts of my mind

So I open my eyes and there you were my sweet honey cone
The vision of love is no longer just an image
As you embrace me with such tenderness
And whisper softly in my ear
Don't worry sweet lady I'll always be near
