Singing Songs In A Minor Key

Low vacant tones, wrenching the soul

Muffled screams of pain wrapped in petals
of a fragrant scent.

Straight lines of silence, where wondrous
melody wanes.

Hidden heart cry of soul and spirit, hoping
someone would discern and rescue.

Reaching out into space, floating in limbo,
again and again

Returning, always returning hopelessly into
mine own bosom of pain

Oh! Day Spring, where are you,
Illusive Day Spring just beyond my reach!!!

Gathering my soul, only to scatter with a resounding No!!
