Forgiven With A Price

I truly thought that we could make amends
Quell the tension, bring the drama to an end
But you still have feelings of confusion
It's causing you to have serious delusions

You say I'm forgiven, but don't know where we are
Losing your trust is like an emotional scar
Things between us shall never be the same
Our souls are now bombarded by the rain

It will take time to restore what we had
As for now my very being is lifeless, dead
Time is an infinite quantity which I dread the most
For my past-actions plague my mind, haunt me like a ghost

I've paid the ultimate price; forgiven with very little trust
My missions: regain your faith and love, do this, I must.
